Possible animation stats from the Lana

Myself and danny have just had a meeting with lana about the animated graphics. The aim of this was to specify exactly which facts she wanted animating, if they were relevant and if it could be done. I want to also make sure that the ones we make will actually be used.

It also seems that some of the facts chosen are quite similar in information, which is fine but it would be good to get a variance in animation. I dont want everyone designed around the simple base of human like figures and blue water droplets. This maybe the general standard of aesthetics but they shouldn’t be too similar.  Saying this all the graphics need to fit to a scheme.

1.Fact is that the richest fifth of the world’s people consumes 86% of all goods and services while the poorest fifth consumes just 1.3%.

2.People like the women in Peru and there community who are living in informal settlements (i.e. slums) often pay 5-10 times more per liter of water than wealthy people living in the same city.

3.It is said that over 1.1 billion people are categorized as lacking access to clean water. That’s one in 6 people.

4.As they would get roughly 7 litres a day to live on, where as I will use on average 150 litres here in the UK.

5.Cotton from Pakistan to make one t-shirt uses 2000 litres to grow, or one cup of coffee from Africa uses 140 litres of water, and then there’s a glass of wine from Austraila, which uses 140 litres to produce.

A good link is http://water.org/water-crisis/water-facts/economics/ …. it has plenty of stats and the graphics are pretty swish.
